She has auctioned her Lakme Fashion Week dress to help the needy people as the amount she collects will go to Arpanam Trust which is helping people in villages during this critical time.She has been helping people in villages, thanks to Indiawasted account who helped her to auction and raised the funds.She posted the picture of the winner, Aditi Kapoor and captioned it as -“AND we have the highest bid Aditi Kapoor, I truly appreciate your gesture and thank you personally. This was not just about buying an outfit . The money from your purchase is going towards providing relief for the underprivileged and that was the important reason for doing this. I hope you like the letter I wrote for you.. enjoy the dress.lots of love.” She revealed the winner, Aditi Kapoor who made the highest bid for that dress. She also appreciated the gesture as the money will be helping so many poor people. She also hoped that the letter she wrote will be liked by Aditi.

The funds transferred will be ued to help families in the perumbakkam housing board. The picture also says Edition 1, so we can expect many editions and many dresses from Nithya Menen to raise funds.India wastedd has posted the picture of Nithya Menen with the following caption “A quick update on the first auction.. They also revealed that they are lucky to have Nithya on board and to have some important conversations regarding current scenarious. We all know that Nithya Menen is sweet. no wonder she doesn’t have any haters.Nithya Menen has been very active on social media because of current scenarios and she has been trying her best to help people in need. Celebrities are trying their best to help the poor people. some celebrities are helping stray dogs. They’re doing their best to help the people in needy in this horrible time because of coronavirus. She has posted a video on social media where she revealed she’ll be auctioning a dress she wore for the Lakme Fashion and to raise money to help needy people. She said –

“I have something very interesting for you today. I’m giving away this dress for auction and 100% of the proceeds will go to Arpanam Trust, which is going to help people in villages to self sustain and to help them get them back on their feet with some financial stability during this time. so, a little something about the dress, this is custom made designer dress which was made espcially for me to walk the ramp at Lakme fashion week. I think some of the people can recognize this, I put up pictures on my handle before. I will be adding a personal note, which I will write by hand, I will be adding with the dress, so you’ll get that as well. So how to bid? you can go and open auction at Indiawasted. The auction will go live this Sunday, 17th May at 4PM. So what you can do is, there will be an opening bid and opening amount, you can DM the amount you are willing to pay to get the dress and personal note and also to help someone through charity and you can send your amount, the highest bidder is going to get this dress and will courier them anywhere across this country. The reason why I decided to do this I always wish there will be a platform where people can give away their things where other people who really would love to use it and find it. These guys, the NGO. which is helping with Arpanam Trust is also going to very soon launch the platform where people can buy, sell and donate thngs that they’ve used. This is going to help sustainable shopping and second hand buying that would be ultimately good for the planet in general and to help manage waste, that’ll be great thing.” Check out the video below
